This blog explains you how you can embed Google Sheets within monday.com, enabling seamless collaboration for your team without having to leave monday.com.

Step 0: pre-req

If you have not already installed Embed Pro for monday.com, please do so by using the below link.

Embed Pro helps you to embed Google Drive in item view, dashboard view and board view. Checkout this link for more details of how to configure it.

Step 1:

By default Google drive are private, which means even if we share the url, the other party is not going to be able to view the link.

we have to do some extra steps to enable this configuration.

1. Go to your Google Drive.
2. Right-click on the folder.
3. Select Share, then click “Share” again.
4. This opens a popup window. Open the General access drop-down menu.
5. Select Anyone with the link to publish your folder.
6. Click Copy link and then Done.
7. You will get a URL like the following: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/123xdev?usp=sharing You can see your folder ID from the above url: 123xdev
8. Google Drive folders can be embedded and displayed in list and grid views. Put the folder ID in one of the following urls:

List View

https://drive.google.com/embeddedfolderview?id=FOLDER-ID#list

Grid View

https://drive.google.com/embeddedfolderview?id=FOLDER-ID#grid

Use the above url in URL field in Embed pro setting as shown in Step 0.

That is it.
